Accident investigation program

95% of our decisions are made in the unconscious mode.

Do you want to learn how human beings make decisions as individuals and in groups? Do you want to know how people behave under stress and pressure?

These two aspects of human behaviour are key to learning from accidents and events and getting better at managing the risk.

This is the focus of Social Psychology Event Exploration Programme (SEEK) based on Social Psychology of Risk.

No lectures, no presentations, and no arguments. The course is uniquely designed keeping in mind how we learn and shift our perspectives most effectively i.e. through experiential learning.

What you will learn:

> How to become aware of your own biases and assumptions by mapping your words on a whiteboard

> How to listen, map and analyse the decisions of those involved in the accident on a whiteboard

> How to frame questions and statements in an interview to generate engagement

> How to articulate complex and sensitive issues in analysis and reporting

> How to become aware of the psychological, social, and cultural influences that contribute to accidents

> How to shift from a culture of blame towards a learning culture

> How to truly learn from accidents and events

Accident investigation skills (basic and advanced)

SEEK

The SEEK Doughnut model. Most Investigation courses do not teach the investigation skills taught in this course. The Doughnut represents the importance of focusing in those hollow but essential areas that lead to unlearning, learning and positive change.
