The program focuses on improving the effectiveness of risk assessments and toolbox discussions in high-risk activities.
The program will equip you to get better at questioning the effectiveness of risk assessments during audits, investigations and leadership visits.The program will also equip you with practical tools and methods to engage with frontline workers and supervisors and in turn improve their risk assessment skills.
The program is based on Social Psychology of Risk and Decision Making.

What you will learn
- Questioning and improving the effectiveness of risk metrics, KPIs, hierarchy of controls, and risk assessments using practical case studies.
- How to engage with experts and frontline workers: questioning and influencing habits, heuristics (fast and slow thinking), overconfidence, and routine practices.
- Recognising change in high risk operations: perception, motivation and the psychology of goals
- Practical exercises on how to conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments

The entire coursework is based on experiential learning (no lecturing, only role plays, experiments and interactive discussions).
Training material and all the tools and methods taught during the course will be made available to all the attendees.
Online sessions last for 1.5 hour each.

Nippin AnandFounderNippin has a Masters degree in Economics, a PhD in Social Sciences and a fascination in Cultural Anthropology. Working as a seafarer and travelling the world from the age of seventeen gave Nippin the unique opportunity to meet people who think differently. This experience has informed much of his work to date, encouraging him to find deeper meaning, as well as learn and grow through every challenge he undertakes.
