Human Judgement, Decision Making and Risk
This one-day course is designed to equip you with basic skills to enhance your observation and conversation skills during audits, investigations and site visits.
What you will experience and learn:
> How biases influence our observations and how to improve your observation skills
> The limitations of checklists and procedures when auditing/investigating/interviewing people
> Understanding heuristics (fast and efficient thinking) to engage with experts
> How perception works (spotting overconfidence and under-confidence, the risk of people working alone, people under stress, cross checking and supervision skills)
> Recognising change in high-risk operations
> How to listen to the cues of risk in our language
Duration: One day in-person or six hours online (one hour each)
